The European Gateways Platform, a public-private partnership between authorities and companies from Romania and the Netherlands will host the Fifth Logistics Seminar in Bucharest on April 28th 2010 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Bucharest. The leading supply chain and logistics expert company Archicom has been requested to develop the content of the seminar in close collaboration with other companies and authorities, and with the Dutch-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and the Dutch-Romanian Network.
Logistics exists by the virtue of trade. Trade via Romania is considered an avenue with formidable changes for Romania. Logistics efficiency is the key to successfully attract this trade. This seminar will focus on the three main components that bring that logistics efficiency:
- Efficient logistics soft measures (e.g. VAT postponement and extended customs gate)
- Logistics network including inter-modal solutions
- TCO (Total Cost of Operation) and Green warehouse solutions
The seminar will address and discuss all aspects concerned with these topics. Developed suggestions during the day will find their way into a White Paper, which will become a cornerstone for work and actions towards empowering Romania as the Eastgate Trade Hub of Europe.
